Under the direction of a Legal supervisor, the Seasonal Part-Time Legal Contracts Assistant will support a short-term contract data project. The role will review ImageTrend customer contracts, identify and extract specified contractual terms, and accurately enter those terms into designated fields in Salesforce.com. This position develops practical experience reviewing and interpreting commercial contracts within a software-as-a-service (SaaS) technology company.
The primary responsibilities of this part-time, temporary position are contract review and interpretation, accurate data extraction, and data entry in a legal setting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in corporate, commercial, or transactional law, possess excellent attention to detail, and be able to apply consistent judgment when reviewing contract language.
This is a temporary, project-based position requiring 20-29 hours per week and requires the individual to perform the work in person at ImageTrend's Eagan, Minnesota office.
What You'll Do:
1. Reviews customer contracts and related amendments to identify specified contractual terms and obligations
2. Extracts designated contract terms and supporting information using established guidance and data definitions
3. Enters extracted contract terms accurately and consistently into the appropriate fields in Salesforce.com, Microsoft Excel, or other required systems
4. Validates entries against the source contract and corrects incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate data
5. Flags ambiguous, missing, or conflicting contract language for review by a member of the Legal & Compliance team
6. Maintains organized records of contracts reviewed and work completed
7. Follows established confidentiality, information security, and document-handling requirements when working with customer contracts and company systems
8. Provides status updates on assigned contract-review work and promptly raises questions that could affect accuracy or completion
9. Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned
Requirements:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) in progress and in good academic standing at an accredited law school, preferably at least in second-year standing or higher
2. Strong attention to detail, organization, and data-entry accuracy
3. Demonstrated interest in corporate, commercial, business, transactional, or technology law, preferably with contract administration, legal operations, sales operations, data-entry projects, or other corporate work experience
4. Strong communication, both written and verbal, with contract-reading and legal comprehension skills
5. Ability to review a high volume of documents while maintaining accuracy and consistency
6. Ability to work independently while applying established instructions and escalating questions appropriately
7. Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
8. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
9. Strong technical aptitude with proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferably with additional prior experience or familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com
10. Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information
11. Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge or skills
12. Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration and team orientation
13. Ability to work in-office as required

Position Salary Range: The hourly rate pay range for this part-time role is $20.00 – $30.00 USD Per Hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, education or training and other relevant qualifications.
